Using Orbit

Orbit is a platform for founders, investors, and network operators to find each other and have conversations. By signing up you agree to use the platform honestly and in good faith. Don't misrepresent who you are or what you do. Don't scrape, mass-mail, or otherwise abuse the platform's features. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.

Networks within Orbit set their own admission criteria. A network admin may invite, remove, or change your role within their network at any time, subject to the audit log we keep of those actions.

Membership is not accreditation

Membership in this network is community-based and does not constitute investor accreditation or qualification under any securities law.

Joining a network on Orbit does not make you an accredited or qualified investor under any securities law. It does not make you a registered investment adviser. It does not make you a broker-dealer. It is a community signal, not a credential.

What Orbit does not do

Orbit is not a custodian. We do not hold funds in escrow. We do not transmit money on behalf of users. The only investor-to-founder action surfaced in the product is "Plan a call", a non-binding scheduling request that connects two people for a conversation.

Orbit does not give investment advice. Nothing in the product, in our copy, in the For You picks, in the emails we send, or in the conversations we facilitate constitutes advice to invest, allocate, or commit capital. Anyone making an investment decision should do so on the basis of their own diligence, with their own advisers.

Orbit does not capture equity. We have no claim on, and take no securities position in, any company or raise listed on the platform. Companies retain full ownership of their data and choose what to publish.

Your content

When you publish content on Orbit (a profile, a company page, a raise overview, a data room document) you keep ownership. You grant Orbit a non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of running the platform. You can take it down at any time by deleting the content or your account.

Liability

Orbit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using Orbit at any time by deleting your account from the settings page. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that put other users at risk, or that we're required to remove for legal reasons. Where we can, we'll notify you first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the product changes or when counsel advises us to. We'll bump the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify active users by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that we can't resolve through conversation will be brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam.
